Description Arvin Schnell 2016-10-14 08:18:10 UTC
YaST displays a wrong udev-id if a disk contains a lvm pv and then
the lvm pv is deleted and a partition on the disk is created. I my
case there is initially the udev id link:

  lvm-pv-uuid-iVJRSF-4fdA-hGcS-KTj9-JCh2-H2IO-J7O1Oq -> sdb

That link vanishes in the system when the lvm pv is deleted. But
YaST does not know that and shows a wrong link for the new partition
sdb1:

  lvm-pv-uuid-iVJRSF-4fdA-hGcS-KTj9-JCh2-H2IO-J7O1Oq-part1

libstorage-ng uses a whitelist for udev links so ignores links starting
with lvm-pv. So once storage-ng is included in tumbleweed this bug can
be verified to be fixed and closed.

The bug is fixed in openSUSE tumbleweed 20180618.
