Hardware: AMD A10-5750M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics -- 8 GB RAM -- Lenovo G505s Laptop -- dual-boot to Windows 8.1
Network Manager; KDE Plasma 5 Desktop; a single ext4 partition.
-------------------------
During the upgrade via the Leap 42.2 DVD, the samba packages raised errors due to package versions not being found.

Skipping over the errors with "Ignore" resulted in the upgrade completing successfully but, after the initial Leap 42.2 boot and checking the installed package status with YaST Software Manager indicated that, the samba packages had version conflicts which were resolved by the YaST Online Update Dialog.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

In addition, the following orphaned packages were present:

After removing the orphaned packages listed above, "zypper ps" revealed that the 'autofs' service was using deleted resources -- restarting the systemd service resolved that issue and accessing remote NFS servers continued to function without any problems.

Hi Donald,

Please, could you attach YaST2 logs using the save_y2logs command? See https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Report_a_YaST_bug

Thanks!

YaST2 logs compressed tar file produced by the save_y2logs command

YaST2 logs from 17th and 18th October 2016 (the period where the Leap 42.1 system was upgraded to Leap 42.2) using the save_y2logs command.

I see some references to openSUSE 42.1 packages in the installation log:

modules/PackageCallbacks.rb:548 MediaChange error: err'NOT_FOUND:Datei './suse/x86_64/samba-4.2.4-4.3.x86_64.rpm' auf Medium 'dvd:///' nicht gefunden

Could you paste here the output of "zypper lr --uri"? Is it possible what the old DVD was present during the installation?
