Description Luiz Fernando Ranghetti 2016-12-08 20:35:34 UTC
Hi,

The Release Note for 42.2 says:

" seamonkey: Source code no longer compiles. If you were a Seamonkey user previously, switch to Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird instead."

But seamonkey 2.40 is present final version of Leap 42.2

Could you change the text, please?

Hm, weird -- https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Leap:42.2/seamonkey shows this package as disabled. However, checking on a Leap 42.2 installation, "zypper se" finds "seamonkey" and the package is available from http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.2/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/seamonkey-2.40-7.1.x86_64.rpm

Ludwig, any ideas for what causes this discrepancy and what we should do in the release notes?
Comment 2 Ludwig Nussel 2016-12-12 10:18:28 UTC
it was broken almost the whole development process and already dropped. It got reintroduced and fixed very late. Please remove the line that says it doesn't work.
