Description Vítězslav Čížek 2017-08-24 09:40:30 UTC
The package fails to build with OpenSSL 1.1.
We need to migrate Factory to OpenSSL 1.1 as it will become the default on SLE-15. For more information see the blocker bug.

Currently testing in staging project:
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/openSUSE:Factory:Staging:SSL11
Fails with:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/openSUSE:Factory:Staging:SSL11/cyrus-sasl/standard/x86_64
Comment 1 Cristian Rodríguez 2017-08-24 18:15:31 UTC
Already fixed in upstream new releases.
Comment 2 Vítězslav Čížek 2017-09-04 10:28:43 UTC
I've submitted a request with a patch:
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/520631

However, as Cristian noted, we can drop the patch if we update the package. And we should.
The package received its last version update in 2013. Series 2.1, which we ship, is no longer supported.
There were a couple of new series released since our last update:
https://www.cyrusimap.org/imap/download/release-notes/index.html#supported-product-series
The currently supported branches are 2.4, 2.5 and 3.0.
