Description andreas bittner 2018-03-28 12:05:06 UTC
used a fresh install via iso usb key
<https://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.0/iso/openSUSE-Leap-15.0-NET-x86_64-Build174.1-Media.iso>

and suddenly the previously rather normally working nouveau on this older nvidia based amd mainboard, is now giving me wrong screen resolution (1280x1024 only) standard vesa being used apparently.

there were lots of bugs in opensuse leap 15 versions some weeks back, but then 161.1 or 164.1 were giving me normal decent nouveau functionality

everything is sluggish and screen is dragging and very slowly performing. was normal in a previous .iso release of leap 15

some logs from the current deprecated 174.1:

A side-effect the wrong kernel config.
