Build Identifier:

The partition with my "/" folder was reported full. Investigation determined that the problem was that the log Xorg.0.log in the folder /var/lib/gdm/.local/share/xorg had grown to over 40 GB. Most of this was a single line, "2044.210] (EE) Synaptics TM2714-001: Read error 9" repeated many, many times.
I have a Yoga Pro 3 with a Synaptics touchpad.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. This seems to be unavoidable, happens every time I turn on the laptop.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
The log file continues to grow quickly, the computer is only useful if I regularly delete the log.

Do you still have xf86-input-synaptics package installed (after updating to Leap 15)? If yes, please uninstall, reboot and verify, whether the issue still exists.

Thank you! This seems to have solved the problem. I removed xf86-input-synaptics and Xorg.0.log has not increased in size for several minutes.
The problem can also be solved by changing window managers.
Thanks again!
