Description Sébastien POHER 2019-05-23 22:07:58 UTC
Hi all,

It appears that since the upgrade of gnutls and libgnutls, Google accounts (and probably others, I have noticed similar issues with Nextcloud and eGroupware accounts) can not be activated.
The following error is shown in Gnome Parameters when connecting the account :

Error writing data to TLS socket: The specified session has been invalidated for some reason

It appears as well in Evolution with already set up accounts (that used to work before the upgrade). If I believe this :

https://www.reddit.com/r/openSUSE/comments/bmgvzx/error_writing_data_to_tls_socket/

this is due to the upgrade from gnutls 3.6.2 to 3.6.7.

I encountered this problem on Leap 15.0 and it is still present in Leap 15.1.

gnutls in itself works fine :

gnutls-cli -p 993 imap.gmail.com
Processed 405 CA certificate(s).
Resolving 'imap.gmail.com:993'...

Thank you for taking a look at it, this bug makes Evolution and Gnome Accounts unusable. Let me know if I can provide more information.

Kind regards,
