As described in https://www.freedesktop.org/software/appstream/docs/sect-Metadata-Driver.html specification, drivers have a special appstream metadata packages should ship with them to be recognized in the software stores, to be easily installed that way. It would be great to include that alongside Nvidia driver.

I'm not aware of such an appdata file provided by NVIDIA. I'm afraid you would need to report this directly to NVIDIA.
