The package already supports libmaxminddb next to GeoIP. So, all it needs it removing the dependency to the GeoIP package. If the change can wait until mid December, then I'd do it with the next version upgrade. Version 2.25 of syslog-ng is expected to be released early December. wure was meant to be an S obviously :) Fix is in Tumbleweed.
