Description Ivan Zatravkin 2021-01-08 10:46:50 UTC
After leaving PC not playing sound after a while (15-30 min) sound driver hangs.

To fix it restarting module with
modprobe -r snd_hda_intel
modprobe snd_hda_intel

is required.

Sound was working in leap 15.1

All HD-audio related bugs have to be retested with the later kernel if you did it with 5.10.5 TW kernel. There was a bug in HD-audio HDMI stuff that caused various lockups / crashes. The latest kernel in OBS Kernel:stable repo should be fine for testing.

Installed it, will report if I see any crashes.
Comment 3 Takashi Iwai 2024-03-07 14:44:23 UTC
Old hardware-specific issue, and I close as WONTFIX.
Feel free to reopen if the problem persists with the latest Tumbleweed release. Thanks.
