Description Lemuel Simon 2021-05-27 22:30:16 UTC
Currently, the ffmpeg3 and ffmpeg4 packages lack support for the AV1 codec as shown here: https://nm.reddit.com/r/openSUSE/comments/mte5oi/ffmpeg_and_mpv_and_possibly_vlc_packages_lack_av1/

However, the AV1 codec is enabled in the equivalent Tumbleweed packages. This affects packages that would depend on ffmpeg{3,4}.MPV, for example, cannot play an increasing number of Youtube videos that would use AV1. Can it be enabled at build time for Leap as well?

Recently done.
It only works with ffmpeg-4.
