timezone map installer openSUSE

Hi OpenSUSE Team,

I try today to install my system.
But i notice one issue in installer.
The world map moves from its place when I click on the country I want to choose.
I think it would be an arrangement issue on the page at higher screen resolutions.

My resolution on Laptop is: 2560x1440.

Since all 2D projections of the earth's surface have some kind of distortion anyway, this doesn't really change very much. That map comes from a Mercator projection which already greatly distorts the areas near the poles; that's why Greenland appears to be so large, dwarfing all of Europe.

And it's clearly not a MAJOR bug to begin with; if anything, it's minor.

The initial map was hand-crafted from a specially hacked version of the KDE "Marble" application. Back then, 4:3 aspect ration screens were the norm. Today 16:9 is more common.

But it's not only the pixels that would have to be redone; it's also all the locations and borders where the user can click to select the city or country or region.

If anybody from the community would like to spend the work to do that and do some testing (of the click coordinates), we will gladly include a new version of that map. But we will clearly not.

Hi,

I think this ticket is resolved now. I not notice this behaviour in latest OpenSUSE TW release.
