Comment 12 Michal Suchanek 2023-01-16 12:14:30 UTC
Did not notice a problem with 6.1.1-1-default so far, immediately triggered with 6.1.4-1-default, definitely not a problem with 6.0.12-1-default
Comment 13 Michal Koutný 2023-01-18 18:06:28 UTC
Joining the party with 6.1.4-1-default (the btrfs was almost on a freshly installed openSUSE TW, coincided with `git clone` of a large repo).
Similarly to other, some 10 minutes after boot:
> [ 627.800083] WARNING: CPU: 6 PID: 27806 at fs/btrfs/qgroup.c:2756 btrfs_qgroup_account_extents+0x1ae/0x260 [btrfs]

The warning was raised 37 times in short succession (~10ms). Then (apparently) nothing.

Maybe it rings a bell?

This is fixed by 75181406b4ea ("btrfs: qgroup: do not warn on record without old_roots populated"), it's been merged to Linus' tree this week, so it should appear in stable soon.
Comment 16 Michal Suchanek 2023-01-20 11:36:27 UTC
6.1.1 is also broken, it just does not always trigger immediately.

Given this is cosmetic and fix is on its way I would say it's OK to close.

In 6.1.8, in particular.

6.1.7 in TW already no longer triggers this, FWIW, not just 6.1.8. Confirmed fixed.

That bug was reported with Kernel 6.1.7

Right, the bug is fixed only in 6.1.8. AFAIU it's sometimes not easy to trigger in previous releases.
Comment 22 John Shand 2023-01-27 05:47:26 UTC
I'm afraid after this fix, i now get this error every startup:

BTRFS info (device sda2): qgroup scan paused
