The included version of the Lotus Sametime (Meanwhile) library (meanwhile-0.4.2-8) is too old for Gaim 2.0.0cvs.

Gaim 2.0.0cvs needs at least meanwhile 1.0.0 (current is 1.0.2).

Gaim 2 is currently not included in SuSE Linux, but will be released soon.

we won't update library versions for 10.1

meanwhile-1.0.2 and pidgin (ex-Gaim) are now included in openSUSE 10.3.
