Description Jean-Daniel Dodin 2006-04-14 13:18:52 UTC
ncurse UI (128Mb ram, minimal text install - vmware)

if the internet test fails, one is send to a screen with a
tagged button "internet test" and said to untag it.

this is not possible. there is no way to access the tag, no
"hot" letter and TAB don't select this window

one must step back (Return) and untag there.

logically, the test having failed, the tag should be unset
by default at this step

I found the bug as needinfo, but looks like it's fixed. if so forget me, thanks

I think I understand: the [x] mark is a passive label that should mean "failed" but it looks the same as a regular checkbox turned on.
Comment 6 Jean-Daniel Dodin 2006-04-25 13:06:50 UTC
yes, can be sen like this

usually in yast, when a test fails, you go back to the previous windows with the button unchecked

thanks

Reopening and moving to 10.3 as it is going to be fixed
Comment 10 Katarina Machalkova 2007-02-13 16:37:03 UTC
[x] mark is no longer used in the internet test, because it really looks like checkbox.
'x' character is used instead (x has been kept since users are used to it, obtrusive square brackets have been left off) - fix will be in y2-core 2.15.5

Moreover, now when particular step of internet test fails, '!' mark will appear next to the label, so that it is clearly visible something went wrong - fix will be in y2-network 2.15.15
