Please be more verbose:
- what exactly did you do? (My guess: run YaST as described in bug 168584.
Correct? What did you do after that?)
- how did you try to umount? (using "umount" in a console, clicking an
  icon, ...)
- what _exact_ error message do you see?
- what's the output of mount while the CD drive is locked?

> the message is lack of privileges

Even as root?

exactly, the problem derives from the bug 16584.
unfortunately, after more and more tests, the installation of "gnome" has gone to good aim, therefore I cannot newly verify the errors that I received.
however,the umount happened from icon.
All user and root account don't umount the reader cd.For user account the message was "insufficient privileges"(perhaps why the mount had been made through yast ( and therefore with it privileges of root) and this last one was finished in improper way ) for root account, i don't remember the message but however it was not possible to make umount until reboot of the PC.

Wrong bug number? #16584 is about SUSE Linux 6.3 ;-)

Sorry .....the bug referred to the number 168584.
it has been "resolved".
probably either my media or cd/dvd drive is corrupt, but I don't understand why yast finishes in anomalous way ( some time ) when it does not find a package
Comment 5 Michael Gross 2006-04-24 13:26:19 UTC
I suppose with `reader CD' you mean the installation medium? What happens if you use `eject' as root with the drive manually after YaST has exited? If this doesn't work, it's not a problem with YaST.

Please reopen this bug if you can provide more information.

Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED.

In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
