Description Michael Stather 2006-04-23 16:36:46 UTC
It would be very useful espacially for servers with scripts to be able to set the persistant name of a network device in YaST. Then the rule-file would be changed by YaST.

What do you mean exactly?
Comment 2 Michael Stather 2006-04-24 17:19:07 UTC
Have a field where the name of the network device like "eth1" can be changed, and the udev rule for persistant network interfaces is updated.
