You're using KDE? The lack of an error message may be a notification daemon problem (although the fact that it's failing to connect in the first place would still be a NM problem). What info can I supply, if there is no error-message? I use knetworkmanager. That was the info needed :-). Timo, do you know if this is specific to knetwork manager? Yes, this is specfic to KNetworkManager. There are no notifications due to string freeze.
