Description Forgotten User --EoyBps8f 2006-04-25 07:13:05 UTC
I use kvpnc to connect to a VPN. After installing NetworkManager-vpnc, I could configure the settings to do so via the new tool.

I click on connect, am asked for username and password. The following progress-dialogue seems to reach the 100%, it is very quick though, so I am not sure. After that the internet connection does not work, knetworkmanager does not show the "disconnect from VPN" as enabled, so I think the connection failed. Yet there is no notification or error-message, so I am not able to track down the problem.

If I use kvpnc to connect, it works without problems.

You're using KDE? The lack of an error message may be a notification daemon problem (although the fact that it's failing to connect in the first place would still be a NM problem).

What info can I supply, if there is no error-message? I use knetworkmanager.
Comment 3 JP Rosevear 2006-05-03 23:25:22 UTC
That was the info needed :-).

Timo, do you know if this is specific to knetwork manager?
Comment 4 Timo Hoenig 2006-05-04 13:17:34 UTC
Yes, this is specfic to KNetworkManager. There are no notifications due to string freeze.

Maybe we're able to use strings from other packages.
