Description Carlos Eduardo Bezerra 2006-05-01 17:41:48 UTC
This bug prevents me from using WPA encryption in my networks. All our PCs use Allied Telesyn AT-WCP200G PCI wireless cards. These were chosen specifically because the could be used with native TI ACX111 linux drivers, and they're properly detected and installed by SUSE 10.0. The function perfectly with WEP security. However, whenever we try to use WPA encrytption with them, the set-up process goes as far as "Activate network services" (63%) and stays there. After this happens YaST can't be closed and the only way to close the program is by doing a hard reset (which breaks the system badly).

This only happens with this specific wireless card driver, other (Intel-based) wireless systems work perfectly with WPA.

Please attach the y2logs. You can save them using save_y2logs /path/for/y2logs.tgz

If possible, please test this with 10.1 RC3 also.

Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED.

In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
