Description Tim Fechtner 2006-05-05 08:19:13 UTC
Starting YaST, Software, Installation source. I have 4 entries (see screenshot1.png). I delete the first 3 entries, then I click on "finish". Several error message get displayed.

1. (see also error1.png):
rug failed to delete a ZYPP service: $["exit":1, "stderr":["ERROR: Can not find service 'cd:///?devices=/dev/hda,/dev/hdb;alias=SUSE-Linux-add-on-CD-10.1-0-20060502-175010'"], "stdout":[]]

2. (see also error2.png):
rug failed to delete a ZYPP service: $["exit":1, "stderr":["ERROR: Can not find service 'ftp://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source?alias=SuSE-Linux-FACTORY-10.1-factory-20060503-102704;alias=ftp://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source?alias=SuSE-Linux-FACTORY-10.1-factory-20060503-102704'"], "stdout":[]]

3. (see also error3.png):
rug failed to delete a ZYPP service: $["exit":1, "stderr":["ERROR: Can not find service 'ftp://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source?alias=SuSE-Linux-FACTORY-10.1-factory-20060503-103749;alias=ftp://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source?alias=SuSE-Linux-FACTORY-10.1-factory-20060503-103749'"], "stdout":[]]

Then, YaST displayes: "Source syncronization with ZMD failed. Save changes anyway?" (see screenshot2.png). Clicking on Yes. YaST works now very long (more than one minute). Then, the windows closes. The changes get filally applied.

new /home/tim/YaST2.tar.bz2

I have to correct me. The changes are not completly applied. How described, after that the windows "installation source" closed (yast control center still open), I reopened "installation source" and the changes where applied (only one entry remaining). Than I made some software installations from this DVD.

Than, I closed the control center. Later, I reopened the control center and started a software installation. The selected software however was loaded from the internet. I killed the modul "software installation" and called the modul "installation source". There now where 2 entries, one containing the ftp server who was removed before.

OK, it is a duplicate. Tim, if you still have problems with installation sources, please retry with the goldmaster (RC5) and open another bug.
