Description Marco Gaib 2006-05-20 20:56:43 UTC
I recently tested the new XGL feature and modified the /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager File by Hand, using joe.
As usual joe created a backup file by default, called displaymanager~
The next time i wanted to change Displaymanager from KDM to GDM and used Yast fot this task and i noticed that this variable was listed twice in the Yast module.
Yast did not ignore the backupfile from joe, but did load this file also.

I think a short tweak to the yast source code should do the trick by just checking the file for a ~ extension.

Greetings

Marco

Please attach /var/log/YaST2 as tarball.
Comment 2 Marco Gaib 2006-05-22 19:01:53 UTC
Sorry, the YaST2 folder is too big due to the limitation of the upload function, even as bz2 archive. I will provide it as kdar archive in 2 slices. I hope this helps.

Greetings

Comment 5 Ladislav Slezák 2006-05-24 04:56:22 UTC
Please, next time use only usual archive formats (tar, gzip, bzip, zip). Thank you!
Comment 6 Marco Gaib 2006-05-24 13:08:34 UTC
As i already mentioned, this was not possible, because of the upload limitation of the bugtracker. i didn't like this either, but i did not see another chance to upload the requested informations.

Sorry again.
Comment 7 Ladislav Slezák 2006-07-17 11:32:36 UTC
Fixed in yast2-sysconfig-2.13.7 - *.bak and *~ files are ignored
Comment 8 Michael Schröder 2006-07-17 16:28:42 UTC
Patchinfos? Aj,Ralf?
Comment 9 Andreas Jaeger 2006-07-18 07:04:19 UTC
I would take it if Ralf takes it.
Comment 11 Harald Mueller-Ney 2006-08-21 11:30:22 UTC
I would wait for SLES10 SP1 given our load. Given AJs comment #9 this would mean also 10.2
Comment 12 Ladislav Slezák 2006-08-22 13:51:28 UTC
OK, then it's FIXED
