Description Thomas Anders 2006-06-12 13:06:48 UTC
Running "yast2 online_update" tells me "Keine Patches verfügbar", even though there should be plenty (e.g. I'm still running libzypp 0.0.8). FWIW, I've configured a proxy server w/ username/password authentication.

Please find y2logs attached.

Even after manually updating to yast2-online-update-2.13.40-0.2 we still see the same issue.
Comment 3 Christian Boltz 2006-06-12 18:36:50 UTC
the summary sounds like bug 174397 - could be a duplicate...
Comment 4 Michael Gross 2006-06-13 11:28:11 UTC
I suppose it's the same issue.

No, it is a different problem.

y2log, after 2006-06-09 16:04:05: The connection to the update server returns a HTTP 504 504 Gateway Timeout error.
Then the same error at 16:14:43.

The update source creation fails because of this and you get no patches.
We should be able to recognize this situation, tell the user that this is just an overloaded server and offer the user a "Retry" (with a different server?)
