Description Forgotten User --EoyBps8f 2006-07-02 09:33:40 UTC
In my update-list the opera patch is shown twice and ticked to be installed. Once the not working patch and once the new one.

Expected behaviour: Only show non-obsolete patches/updates.

Just saw another variation of showing multiple "patches" for the same package.

wget is shown as type patch with the security icon and as type package without the security icon. Both rom the same catalogue. One, i.e. the patch, should be enough.

the package+patch view from #c1 is a design decision by zmd.
Comment 3 Chris Rivera 2006-07-11 18:46:08 UTC
So are you seeing two patches with the same name and different versions or the same patch listed twice? Also, are you using the latest available update stack?

What server are you getting these patches from? I would like to try and duplicate this. Thanks.

Two patches with the same name.

I am using the latest official updates.

The server would not matter I guess, but I was using ftp://sunsite.rwth-aachen.de

T reproduce I did the following:

Remove the opera 9 package that came through yast.
Install the opera 8.52 package from the installation cds.
Wait till zmd updates.

The result is attached.

This was using ftp.hosteurope.de as update server

This was fixed in svn revision 32212. It should make it into the next update stack release.
