Description Forgotten User --EoyBps8f 2006-07-10 21:49:27 UTC
I added the KDE-repo and several updates were shown in zmd-update. E.g. kdebase3-ksysguard.... While updating I am asked to inser ftp4...KDE:..., i.e. the repo I just added.

Having a look at the log at 22:04 shows that zmd claims that the package cannot be found on the server. I tried several times, no luck.

Started YaST, did the update, no problem.

Could be a duplicate of bug 189501 (which is a duplicate of a non-public bug).

In short: The server you used was probably out of sync, simply try again ;-)

I tried this morning with zmd, did not work, several times.

Tried this evening, did not work, checked the server, the file was present, in the correct version.

Tried 30 seconds later with yast, it did work, same version as shown in the logs as "not on media".

If the server was out of sync, should YaST not have the same problems?

sven: please not the details of the repo you used.

geronimo, try to reproduce if sufficient detail/steps are given for you to in a resonably short time.

It's been 3 months since I reported this bug. A bit long in order to ask for information regarding a package from back then, don't you think?

It's "funny" that you ask for detailed info in a reasonably short time in that context.

cannot reproduce, closing.
