I found a quick (and surprisingly simple) workaround: After creating a symlink for /usr/X11R6/bin/gnome in /usr/bin I have GNOME in the list of available desktop sessions and I can log in. andreas@HAL9001:~/Documents> cd /usr/bin andreas@HAL9001:/usr/bin> ln -s /usr/X11R6/bin/gnome *** Bug 201444 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Fix submitted. Please keep your packages working on the distribution. |
