Description Sebastian Reitenbach 2006-08-29 17:12:01 UTC
try to add url like this:
ftp://ftpserver/path/to/local/update/mirror

it will fail

try to add:
ftp://ftpserver.my.domain/path/to/local/update/mirror
will work without problem

it is possible to add a ftp installation source without fqdn with rug at the commandline and also from within yast

expected result:
fqdn shall not be necessary as a update source

Created attachment 97503 [details]
the requested logfile

the problem seems to exist not only with update but also with installation sources.
first I tried to add an ftp url:
hostname: ftp
directory install10.1
and it did not worked
then used ftp.it.intern as the hostname, with same directory name, and had no problem.
Comment 3 Lukas Ocilka 2006-08-30 14:08:10 UTC
Hmm, maybe already fixed for 10.2 (that one worked).
Reassigning to the packagemenager maintainer.
Comment 4 Ladislav Slezák 2006-10-23 08:05:10 UTC
It works correctly in 10.2 Alpha5
