Description Matt Skipton 2006-09-06 15:50:41 UTC
If you create a "Launcher with Nautilus it creates a .desktop file that does not show up in the Main Memu/slab.

It does not populate the TryExec= value in the .desktop file and it appears that the slab is looking for the TryExec value or it does not show up.

It also sets the Name field to be called Name[en_US]= but the slab appears to be looking for Name= which it doesn't find so the app does not show up in the slab

Fixing both of these values with an editor solves the problem.

Not sure if the slab or nautilus is the problem.

-> Gnome

Well, slab seems to use gnome_desktop_item_launch nowadays and the problem no longer persists.
