I file this a being a bug, cause there is no common sense in it.

If you go to Yast Installation-sources and you want to add an iso-file you can search for a long time. The image being a _file_ you don't expect it to be under _Directory_

Please add the option iso, image or file to the selection-list.

There should be separate ISO image option, but what would user expect when the ISO image is located on NFS or SMB/CIFS share? Should be "ISO" or "NFS" option used in this case?

I think that there should be "ISO" (for local images) and "Directory" option, "NFS" and "SMB/CIFS" should have the ISO check box for remote images (as it is in the current solution).

Sorry, but I can't imagine the problem. You meant the YaST Installation Source Module. Can you provide screenshots or do you have a link to some current screenshots?

Currently there is "Local Directory" and "Package Directory" types in the dialog.

My proposal is to include "Package Directory" functionality in "Local Directory" type and create a new type "Local ISO Image".

Another enhancement might be autodetection of a directory/ISO image. For example NFS source dialog has a checkbox "ISO Image" which is not necessary. After pressing Next yast could mount the NFS share and test whether the specified object is a directory or a file and set the ISO flag automatically.

"Local Directory" and "Package Directory" options have been merged and there is a new option "Local ISO Image".

Fixed in yast2-packager-2.15.6
