Description Andreas Jaeger 2006-09-18 08:31:05 UTC
I installed the current update stack test and then (without restarting anything) tried to install the current packages.

zen-updater told me:
Transaction failed: Resolvable kernel 2036-0 (ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/update/10.1) not found.

Comment 2 Klaus Kämpf 2006-09-18 09:57:45 UTC
kernel-2036-0 is a patch
Comment 3 Klaus Kämpf 2006-09-18 10:07:55 UTC
I dont see any reference to this patch during a transaction, nor do I see any error messages in the logs.
Comment 4 Andreas Jaeger 2006-09-18 10:12:08 UTC
So, what should I do to help you debug this?
Comment 5 Klaus Kämpf 2006-09-18 10:15:22 UTC
Is it reproducable ?
Comment 6 Andreas Jaeger 2006-09-18 12:16:25 UTC
Trying some time later after zmd went to sleep and I woke zmd up and run:
$ rug set log-level debug
Waking up ZMD...Done
Preference 'log-level' changed from 'info' to 'debug'

Seems to work now, the patches are downloading.
Comment 7 Andreas Jaeger 2006-09-18 12:37:15 UTC
Update was successfull.

Downgrading priority. I would still like to see this fixed but if you cannot figure out what's broken, I won't mind closing it as INVALID (since there's no CANTFIX).
Comment 8 Klaus Kämpf 2006-09-18 13:38:51 UTC
We had a couple of "after waiting, zmd works"-type bugs in the past which
look related to some errors in zmd's internal status refresh.

E.g. Bug #190346.
Comment 9 Federico Lucifredi 2006-10-11 23:23:01 UTC
I am willing to commit resources to look into this one, but we need reproduction steps to look at it.

Aj, can you please fles this in with steps to repro from a base install.

-> Reassigning to Mauro and CMR to see what (if anything) can be done, provided we have repro.
Comment 10 Andreas Jaeger 2006-10-12 05:07:10 UTC
I cannot reproduce it :-(
