Description Holger Sickenberg 2006-09-20 11:39:12 UTC
When selecting a pattern in alpha4plus (e.a. "GNOME Administration Tools") another pattern (here: Novell AppArmor) will automatically deselected.

Screenshots before and after selecting will be attached.

Reassigned to package people
Comment 5 Stefan Hundhammer 2006-09-20 12:00:47 UTC
This is very likely due to dependencies inside those patterns. Maybe this is even intentional, even though I would consider that pretty strange.

Comment 7 Michael Andres 2006-09-21 13:39:32 UTC
Most probabely this 'restricted' solver run Huha uses does not recognize apparmor, as it 'supplements basesystem'. Schubi could you please check whether this is true.
Comment 8 Stefan Schubert 2006-09-25 15:12:24 UTC
Yes it is true. "Reverse" dependencies will be not regarded while this "restricted" solver run.

Same problem in Beta 1

When selecting "Console Tools" "Novell AppArmor" gets delected.

We have fasten the solver, so it is possible now to make a solver run by each selection/deselection of an item (selection/pattern/package....)
