In current Factory, kdesu does not work at all any more even with "sudo" installed, it always writes to stderr:

kdesu (kdelibs): ERROR: su has exited while waiting for pwd.

a) This is wrong, "su" does not seem to be used at all any more;

b) Is "sudo" invoked correctly?

c) Please keep in mind that sudo does not work for X applications right now: bug 159599
