The evolution package is missing an evolution.desktop file, it only has evolution-2.8.desktop, this causes part of bug 208676 and will cause upgrade problems for people since evolution.desktop existed before.

This is working fine upstream - likely a packaging issue on the stable branch in autobuild. I will look into this today and get it fixed.

Patch to create desktop file with name sans version

This is a regression from Evolution 2.6 and should be fixed if Evolution 2.8.2 tarball is checked into Autobuild. I will confirm if a tarball update is on the cards and if no, will submit the attached patch.

Fixed in autobuild now with the update of Evolution 2.8.2 tarballs.
