Description Elmar Stellnberger 2006-10-08 07:53:32 UTC
Sometimes totally unmotivated but last time after I had to kill it adding an irresponsive installation source Yasts "change installation" source hangs on startup and does not recover by itself.
There should be a possibility to see what YaST is currently doing and to skip this. Nevertheless applying an xkill and restarting it did help.

Did you install the latest YaST/zypp/zen updates? Please show the output of
rpm -q libzypp zen-updater

Please also attach the y2logs (see http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs/YaST) and, if possible, give a hint (date/time) when the problem happened to make searching the logs easier.

BTW: What do you mean with "irresponsible installation source"?

No reaction for more than 3 weeks. Closing therefore as CANTFIX.
