Attempting to enter the root password to start Yast in KDE desktop fails with the message "Conversation with SU failed". The password is however accepted in a Konsole and Yast can be started there.

The installation here is openSUSE-10.2-Alpha5-DVD-x86_64, downloaded on 9th October.
