Description Martin Mrazik 2006-10-26 10:38:18 UTC
i) installed openSUSE 10.2 + imap package.

ii) I launched 'yast2 xinetd' and wanted to enable imap (imaps,...). A popup shows up with a message "Package imap was successfully installed.".

Well. I know! I installed it some time ago. This is slightly confusing because it looks like it was installed _right now_ by yast2 xinetd. But apparently it was not.

and if you want to enable more services (pop3, spop3, imap, imaps) its really annoying, because you see the same popup 4 times and you have to click on OK 4 times...

What about y2log :)?
Comment 3 Lukas Ocilka 2006-10-26 10:54:13 UTC
And the installation RPM, please (in /var/log/YaST2/ directory).

I'm sorry but it seems I don't know what do you want... I have no rpms in that directory and everything else seems to be in y2logs.

/var/log/YaST2/y2logRPM, take it easy :)

Here we go ;)

Just a note: imap.rpm was'nt installed during installation but right after the system was installed (but before I started yast2 xinetd)
Comment 8 Lukas Ocilka 2006-10-27 11:31:33 UTC
OK, that was easy, will be fixed in yast2-inetd-2.14.1 (openSUSE 10.2) and yast2-inetd-2.13.7 (SLE 10 SP1).

This bug also prevents not-installed packages to be installed (It just reverts the rule).
