disclaimer

The message is missing from our yast pot files. I do not know whether it is this way on purpose.

Where does this disclaimer come from?

I think makeSUSEdvd (which is not a Novell product) itself adds it.

I found the following in makeSUSEdvd:

##########

	cat > $MEDIA/info.txt <<EOF

		Disclaimer

This media is not produced by Novell. It is compiled with makeSUSEdvd
available on http://en.opensuse.org/Making_a_DVD_from_CDs If you are not
100% sure of the origin of this medium, please go to http://openSUSE.org
and download from there or buy the boxed set.

If you want official support from Novell, please use the official ISOs
	provided by them.

If you trust the source where you got this DVD and are not botherd to get
official support, then please have fun using this product and SUSE later.

Unofficial support can be found via http://en.opensuse.org/Communicate

##########

EOF

=> The bug is invalid.

I am interested. :-D

This disclaimer is indeed added by makeSUSEdvd so as to make it clear that the CD and/or DVD is not from Novell and could be tamperd with. This means that files can be added and/or deleted that nobody will be aware of.These files can anything, including non-OSS or non-distributable.

What makeSUSEdvd does is overwrite media/info.txt with the above text. As this is not done by Novell, this is not an openSUSE error.

You can always mail me at makesusedvd@houghi.org for more information if it is needed.
