Description Richard Biener 2006-11-15 10:45:37 UTC
During update Yast should either simply use existing configured Add-Ons or at
least offer them. I never can remember the exact URL for nvidia drivers for
example. Also all openSUSE build-service stuff is extremely difficult to
remember.

Not adding the extra install sources seems to force deletion of all the extra
packages.

@Klaus: You remember? We mentioned this a few days ago. Facing an increasing number of Add-On Sources being used, the strategy of 'setting delete unmaintained to true' per default on update, seems no longer appropriate. We should head for
something 'better'.

Yes, we have to improve our strategy to deal with products. We are not alone anymore.

Please, handle this via Fate.

Fate -> #301785

The feature has been implemented in yast2-installation-2.15.37
