Description Henrik Juul Hansen 2006-11-15 15:03:14 UTC
When installing - I want to have GRUB on the rootdisk (/dev/sda9). In the advanced menu, I selected this using the GUI check-box. This does not show up in the summary. Instead I choose to install Lilo and this works.
The check-boxes about where to install GRUB does not work correct. The result does not show up in the summary; it is possible to check more than one button and the last option about where to install GRUB only allowed me to choose "/dev/sda2" even that the disk holds 14 partitions - (I do not recall the text on the button).

BTW - I have seen similar report in beta1 version marked as it was fixed - but? it is present in the openSUSE-10.2beta2-x86_64.

Best regards,
HJH

Hmm - quite a lot of different things at once :-(
- The summary is fixed
- Having checkboxes instead of radiobuttons reflects the abilities of Grub, which
can handle more than one boot device, why should we limit this?
- The list of possible boot devices is expanded

No need to limit where to install - I did not know that it was possible to install in several places and thought it was an error.

Is this fixed for you in RC1 (It should be)?
Comment 5 Henrik Juul Hansen 2006-11-24 10:36:42 UTC
I have just installed from 10.2RC1-DVD-x86_64 and yes - it is fixed.
