Description Peter Varkoly 2006-11-17 17:59:23 UTC
The dhcdbd daemon do not contain any signal handling function thats why he never closed his own processes.
Comment 1 Peter Varkoly 2006-11-17 18:05:30 UTC
We (mt + varkoly) have insert a signal handler function (quit_sig_handler) to catch the signals SIGINT, SIGTERM
Comment 2 Peter Varkoly 2006-11-17 18:34:43 UTC
This fix solves a part of the bug 213249.
I think this bug concerns any other distributions too.
I'll recommend a maintenance update.

aj rf ???

Hi, Gerald. Tis bug considers all the SLES versions. What is your appointment?
SLES10 SP1
SLES9  SP4
IMO this is a typical SP and not maintainance case.
Comment 4 Gerald Pfeifer 2006-11-23 21:30:02 UTC
I agree, this does not look like material for a maintenance update.

If you need to touch this package for some other reason for SLE10 SP1
(which I assume), yes, please do include this improvement.

Similarly for SLES9 SP4, though I hope we will not have to update this
package there?
