OK, bug one fixed: the hard disk wasn't supposed to apepar on the desktop. For the rest I need the hardware and I only have half an hour for the next meeting to come :) ok, the bug is reproducible: start KDE with an already attached device and it will be mounted without the internal state being updated. media_suse.diff is buggy ok, with smaller disks (I can only afford 127MB :) than the one Holger has the time slice to reproduce the issue is way smaller. The mounting takes a while and during that time you can trick konqueror into a "strange behaviour" :) fixed the gap *** Bug 223744 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
There is a icon for the removeable usb harddisk on the KDE desktop. If you click on it Konqueror will be opened and Location shows media:/sdc1 At the first time I tried this the content of the window was just empty. When changing to the folder "/media" and opening the device by it's label ("/media/sl10.2b2p") the content was displayed correctly in the window. After that the icon of the desktop worked as well correctly. After a reboot the icon link displays a error message: "Device is already mounted". The same error will be displayed if you try to open the device with "My Computer" -> "sl10.2b2p" (Location as well displays "media:/sdc1" When again going to the /media folder and selecting "sl10.2b2p" everything works file. Location displays "/media/sl10.2b2p" then. When now clicking on the desktop icon the error message will still be displayed.
