Description Mihnea Istinie 2006-11-23 11:37:21 UTC
On a fresh installed 10.2RC1 hald segfaults:

Nov 23 12:24:15 linux-0vls kernel: hald[2311]: segfault at 0000000000000000 rip 00002ab9729fb770 rsp 00007fff38988ee0 error 4

I suppose this is also the reason why the network manager cant configure (does not find) the network card.

I will attach the requestd logs as soon as I reboot the box with kernel-default.

Could you provide output of 'grep . /sys/class/xen/*/*'
Comment 2 Mihnea Istinie 2006-11-23 12:20:25 UTC
e56:~ # grep . /sys/class/xen/*/*
/sys/class/xen/blktap0/dev:254:0
grep: /sys/class/xen/blktap0/uevent: Permission denied

In fact there is a bug in HAL, but I wonder why there is no /sys/class/xen/blktap0/devtype is this normal?
