I installed Beta2Plus, did the "Online Update Registration" which
assigned an update mirror.

Then I chose to run the Online Update in the installation workflow.

It download the libzypp update, and installed it fine.

Then it said "need to restart yast", whiuch it did.

However, the restarted YAST pops up a messagebox saying 
"The previous installation has failed. Would you like to continue? 
Note: You may have to enter some information again."

Clicking away this messagebox leads to the correct behaviour of YOU restarting 
and offering the other updates.

I think just the messagebox is erroneous.
