Description Steffen Moser 2006-11-26 10:57:09 UTC
In the end of the installing procedure of openSUSE-10.2-RC1, the installer configures installation sources (e.g. for updates).

If the system doesn't have a proper internet access and I though try to configure the additional installation sources, it reports (in German):

 | Beim Erstellen der Installationsquelle ist ein Fehler aufgetreten.
 | Details:
 | Unknown source type for
 | http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source
 | Erneut versuchen?

It seems that there is a missing (German) translation for the detailed error message ("Unknown source type...").

The same happens if I try to reconfigure the installation sources (after the above given error message) and leave the dialog using "Abbrechen".

Then, I get the following error (again the German setup):

 | Beim Erstellen der Installationsquelle ist ein Fehler aufgetreten.
 | Details:
 | Url scheme is a required component
 | Erneut versuchen?
Comment 1 Karl Eichwalder 2006-11-27 07:53:32 UTC
Do these messages originate from libzypp? Do we need a new .pot?
Comment 2 Andreas Hanke 2006-11-27 08:06:27 UTC
These strings are from libzypp (not zmd).
Comment 3 Andreas Hanke 2006-11-27 08:17:10 UTC
Maybe they are not marked for translation at all (there were quite a lot of untranslated strings in libzypp that turned out to be untranslated because someone forgot to mark them as translatable).
Comment 4 Karl Eichwalder 2006-11-27 08:25:01 UTC
Maybe, Stefan can help here.
Comment 5 Andreas Hanke 2006-11-27 08:27:17 UTC
It seems that none of the strings in ./zypp/SourceFactory.cc are marked for translation.
Comment 6 Stefan Schubert 2006-11-27 09:35:12 UTC
Marius there is not translation in zypp/url
Duncan comment #5 of Andreas is correct.
Marius please assign this bug to Duncan if you have add your trasnlation marks.
Comment 7 Marius Tomaschewski 2006-11-27 15:22:27 UTC
I've added translation marks to hal, url and mutex exception messages.
Comment 8 Duncan Mac-Vicar 2007-10-02 20:24:23 UTC
Then this is fixed in 10.3
