Description Johannes Meixner 2006-11-29 09:30:12 UTC
The following user frontend applications for scanners
should be installed by default:

Package xsane if Gnome is installed

Package kdegraphics3-scan (contains kooka) if KDE is installed

Package sane-frontends if the X window system is installed
Comment 1 Andreas Jaeger 2006-11-29 09:53:42 UTC
xsane, sane-frontends added, kdegraphics3-scan is already there.

Lars, can we add sane-frontends to the CDs.

This will only be fixed *iff* we master an RC4.
Comment 2 Johannes Meixner 2006-11-29 10:21:13 UTC
sane-frontends is not very important (only nice to have).

The crucial part is that
xsane is installed by default for Gnome and that
kdegraphics3-scan is installed by default for KDE.
Comment 3 Andreas Jaeger 2006-11-29 10:25:05 UTC
The crucial part is fixed.
Comment 4 Andreas Jaeger 2006-11-29 10:44:10 UTC
If it's just sane-frontends and we have space on CD1-3, then we take it - otherwise not.
Comment 5 Andreas Jaeger 2006-11-29 20:30:19 UTC
Rudi added it.
