Description Forgotten User CxVz4LpaB5 2006-11-29 23:25:38 UTC
It happens with the prior version also.
Today, I see that the updater show that an update to libzypp was available so then I have openned the auto update app and select 'update'. Even if all seems good, the update stop a 99% (the progress bar show 'updating software - finishing') and bever end. There are no error msgs. The only way to stop it is to close the autoupdate app.
You can find as file attachment the yast log.

Which "updater" application do you use? opensuseupdater or zen-updater?
What was the "auto update app" - is it or zen-updater again or was YaST started?

When the update stops, does it mean something hangs or just the progress is not finished but you are able to finish it?

I think it is the zen updater When I talk about the update app it is the zen updater. BTW, can you describe here the zen updater and the opensuseupdater? Because it is very confusing for me..
The update stop or freeze at 99%. There are no error msg on the screen and the progress bar still display 'finishing ...'. The can only close the zen updater using the cross on the window. Nothing seems to hang but I have seen several days ago a kernel update test, which was available through the zen updater and this time the update was successful.

Could you make a screenshot and attach it to the bug?
It should be possible simply with pressing PrintScreen button, or use your favourite application (ksnapshot,xv,gimp, ...)

As it looks like a zmd/zen problem, attach also zmd logfiles (/var/log/zmd-*).
Comment 5 Jiří Suchomel 2006-11-30 15:04:23 UTC
Oh, not necessary - it was reported already.
But please attach the zmd logfiles to the other bug.
