Description David Wright 2006-11-30 16:53:31 UTC
I've tried doing updates from factory on RC1 (now updated to latest factory).

When the Updater in the toolbar shows the red exclamation mark, I click on it, click on "update", and away it goes.

Sometimes I get the missing package errors, but that is probably just down to server load.

However, when the updater has downloaded everything and installed the packages, it progresses to 99% and says "finishing" in the progress bar. Then it stays there!

Yesterday there was a libzypp update. This got to 99% just as I had to leave for a meeting. When I got back 5 hours later, it was still at 99%. The same happened today with the latest factory updates, all packages installed, then it stalled at "finishing".

I haven't tried this on my 32-bit machine yet...

I have seen this on RC2 in 32 bits, but only when updating the libzypp patch. I will try to reproduce with RC3.

I have duplicated this on a Cypress build 4.15 on x86_64 in VMware. If you'd like access, please let me know.

Zenworks is no more part of OpenSuSE....

Is it still re-producible in SLE10 SP1 ?
If yes, can you please provide the use case and the logs ?
If no, can we close the bug ?

No response for more than 2 weeks...

Marking it as resolved..
