In fvwm environment launching from "Graphics card and Monitor" gui icon or directly from the command line with "yast2 x11" both fail. I discovered this trying to get my monitor id for another bug submission. Attached are yast2logs and  sax2 logs.

sorry I can't reproduce your problem. If you don't mind call
   
   /usr/sbin/sax2
  
from a xterm, enter the root password and tell me what's happening
