Description Matthias Bachert 2006-12-12 15:28:47 UTC
I own a Microsoft keyboard with multimedia keys.

It is entered in xorg.conf as XkbdModel "microsoftpro" and if I call xev and press the mute key it is recognised by xev correctly as XF86AudioMute but kmix doesn't mute if I press this Key even if it is set in the kmix configuration for the key bindings.

The same applies to AmaroK. I can set various multimedia keys in AmaroKs key bindings but it doesn't respond to them in any way.

I just opened the dialog to set the master volume channel and it was already set. But clicking on it again and saving did the trick.

I leave this bug open as it is at least a bug in usability.
