F1...F5 labels are not consistently. Either you label F2 Language then you have to label F3 Resolution etc. or F2 English, F3 800x600 etc.

Steffen, didn't we just change it, or did we always want to change it?

Well, yes. The way it is now is how people wanted it.

I think there was a proposal somewhere for a two-line layout like

F1 Help  F2 Language  F3 Video Mode ...
         English      1024x768

Maybe that would really be the solution.

uh, that's an old one
