Fonts in Firefox have the wrong size if your X DPI setting is different than 96 DPI. A good fix for that is to to to

about:config

and adjust the variable

layout.css.dpi

to "0". That means Firefox will use the real DPI setting of your X server instead of 96. Don't know if that has any side effects but it would be great if you could adjust that in default installation.
